Consignment sales to benefit ECFE programs, Second Harvest Heartland | Business
Title
One of the state's largest consignment sale events gives families a chance to earn money and save money on thousands of items for children, while the event helps raise money and food donations.
Consignors can earn 70 to 80 percent of the selling price of items they no longer need for their children at Munchkin Markets, LLC sales. Parents can also save money by purchasing the pre-owned and new items their children need.
"We expect 100-350 sellers bringing thousands of items at each sale," says Kristal Belisle, mother of four and owner of Munchkin Markets, LLC. "It's a great way to sell the items your children have outgrown and to pick up things for their next stage in life at reasonable prices."
In an effort to help charities through tough times, Munchkin Markets, LLC is offering free admission to shoppers who bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to Second Harvest Heartland.
The market is also providing fundraising opportunities for several Twin Cities schools, MOMS clubs and the ECFE programs in Anoka-Hennepin, St. Paul, North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale, Mahtomedi, Forest Lake and Stillwater.
The Munchkin Markets spring consignment sales will be open to the public at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds April 17 and 18, Anoka County Fairgrounds April 24 and 25, and the Washington County Fairgrounds May 1 and 2.
On Saturdays the sale is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon. There is a $1 admission fee on Saturday, no charge on Sunday, and many items will be half price on Sunday. Plenty of free parking is available at all locations.
