Washington County Approves Accent Integrated Health Services for Residents

Accent Integrated Health Services will provide homemaker services to Washington County residents, the Board of Commissioners said this week.

The organization will be used for all county residents who receive Medical Assistance and Community Based Services. These services include personal care assistance, adult day care, laundry, shopping and homemaking.

WEB FORECAST: Light Snowfall Should End Before Evening Commute

A light snowfall will last into the afternoon, but should end before the Friday evening commute.

KSTP.com Meteorologist Patrick Hammer predicts snowfall totals will be light with 1/2" to 1". Areas north of the Twin Cities toward Brainerd may see up to 2".

Flood Risks Are Very Low on Mississippi, Minnesota Rivers

The National Weather Service says the risk of spring flooding is very low on the Minnesota, Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers in Minnesota and on the Chippewa River in western Wisconsin.

Washington County Chooses Firm to Design Newport Transit Station

The Washington County Board of Commissioners has chosen a firm to design the Newport Transit Station and parking lot.

The Newport Station will be built along the planned Red Rock Transit corridor, which is a 30-mile stretch from Hastings through downtown St. Paul and onto downtown Minneapolis. Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., was chosen from seven firms for the project.
