WEB FORECAST: Light Rain Ends, Sunshine Returns

The light rain is finally coming to an end in Southern Minnesota.

KSTP.com Meteorologist Dave Dahl says sunshine is on the way for Thursday with temperatures at about 68 degrees by 4 p.m.

Dave says the sunshine should last into most of Friday. But, there is a chance of rain Friday night.

Washington Co. Residents Give High Rating to Quality of Life in County Survey

Ninety-five percent of respondents in a county-wide survey rated the quality of life in Washington County as excellent or good.

The survey was conducted in five different Minnesota counties - Washington, Dakota, Olmsted, Scott and St. Louis - by the National Research Center by mail in February.

Groundbreaking Set for New St. Croix Bridge

Minnesota and Wisconsin transportation officials have scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for the new St. Croix bridge project connecting the two states.
    
The ceremony will be held May 28 at Lowell Park in Stillwater. Elected officials from both states are expected to speak.
    

Burning Restrictions Lifted in 32 Minnesota Counties

The Department of Natural Resources lifted burning restrictions in 32 Minnesota counties due to recent wet weather. Restrictions were lifted at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

Work Continues on Stillwater Lift Bridge

Boaters on the St. Croix will see some delays Tuesday morning as crews work on the Stillwater Lift Bridge.

The workers are replacing a gearbox, which is the last step in a process to preserve the bridge.

The bridge will stay down during the work until noon Tuesday. Vehicle traffic won’t be affected.
